The Boathouse
Our amazing downtown Ottawa River waterfront location,on un-ceded Algonquin Anishinabe territory, is home to Canada's Oldest Rowing Club.
We have been fortunate to be able to provide paddling opportunities at this historic location since 2015.
As guests, Urban Ocean Ottawa, operates around the rowing schedule. We appreciate your patience as changes to our schedule are necessary occasionally due to busy traffic times at the boathouse.
SUP & Kayak Lessons are both offered at this location as well as our Ottawa River Tour, Parliament Paddle, Fireworks Paddles & Rideau Falls Tours. Contact us to host a special event here!

This location is 100ft deep off the dock and has significant current and boat traffic to be aware of.
Private property location - No access outside of class times
You must pre-register for classes/tours. No walk-ins allowed.

Boathouse Directions:
We are quick walk or bike from the Byward Market and many of the downtown Ottawa hotels.
Paid parking is available on the upper level of Lady Grey Drive above the gate to our driveway.
Once you are parked, please walk down and meet your instructor on the grass in front of the red gate/ white rail deck that are before boathouses.
Our team can be identified by their Urban Ocean Shirts or Urban Ocean Hats
Please ensure you are wearing a mask when you enter the property.
There is no change room access at this time. There is a port a potty on site.
